Question 1: What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that enhances your eyebrows by creating fine, hair-like strokes. A specialized hand tool deposits pigment under the skin, resulting in natural-looking brows that blend seamlessly with your existing hair.

Question 2: How long does Microblading last?

On average, microblading lasts 12 to 18 months. However, factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routines can affect the longevity. Touch-ups are recommended every 12-24 months to maintain the look.

Question 3: Does Microblading hurt?

Most clients report minimal discomfort. A numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to minimize any pain. The sensation is often compared to light scratching or plucking.

Question 4: What is the healing process like?

The healing process takes about 4-6 weeks. Initially, your brows may appear darker but will gradually lighten. Expect some redness, minor scabbing, and itchiness during the first two weeks. It's essential to follow the aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing.

Question 5: How do I prepare for my appointment?

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24-48 hours before your appointment to reduce sensitivity and bleeding. Avoid tweezing, waxing, or tinting your brows in the days leading up to your session.

Question 6: How long does it take?

The procedure typically takes me about an hour and a half. With consultation, brow mapping, and the microblading process almost 2 hours. A touch-up session is usually scheduled 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment.

Question 7: What are the aftercare instuctions?

Avoid getting your brows wet for the first 7-10 days, including activities like swimming or excessive sweating. Use any prescribed ointment and avoid makeup on the brows until they are fully healed. Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid picking or scratching the scabs.

Question 8: Who should avoid getting Microblading?

Microblading is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those with certain skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis), or anyone taking blood thinners or with uncontrolled diabetes. Your artist will review your medical history to ensure you are a good candidate.

Question 9: What if I am not happy with the results?

Most artists offer a touch-up session to adjust the shape or color if needed. If the results are not satisfactory, pigment removal procedures like saline removal or laser treatment are available.

Question 10: How much does it cost?

The cost varies depending on the procedure, but on average I charge $475 with a $100 deposit at consultation to be used towards service. Touch-ups are $75 scheduled 6 weeks later. From time to time I offer specials. At the current moment we are waiving the $100 deposit and only charging $375 for the procedure.
