IPL photofacials are versatile and can be performed on various body areas, including the face, neck, chest, hands, and shoulders—essentially any region exposed to the sun that exhibits signs of aging or sun damage.
A typical IPL session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area's size. Patients may experience a sensation similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin during the procedure. Post-treatment, mild redness or swelling can occur but usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days. Multiple sessions, typically 3 to 6 spaced about four weeks apart, are often recommended to achieve optimal results.
While IPL is generally safe, potential side effects include redness, swelling, blistering, or changes in skin pigmentation. A Consultation will take place before the procedure to make sure you a valid candidate and to discuss any risks or concerns.
